Getting Started
What is Krypnotes?
Krypnotes is a secure, offline-first note-taking application for notes, tasks, folders, rich editing, and privacy-focused organization.
How do I create my first note?
Tap the floating plus button from the Inbox or a folder, add a title, and start writing. Your progress is saved when you leave the screen.
How do I use the To-Do list?
Open the To-Do area, add tasks from the input field, mark items complete, set reminders, and use filters to organize your view.
Security, Privacy and Locking
Where is my data stored?
Your notes, folders, and tasks are stored on your device local storage. Krypnotes does not upload your personal data to Krypzon servers.
What does the Master Passphrase do?
It unlocks protected notes and encrypts backup files. We cannot recover it if you forget it.
How do I protect an individual note?
Set a Master Passphrase, open a note, enter edit mode, and use the lock control.
Backup and Restore
How do I create a backup?
Set a Master Passphrase, go to Settings > Data & Backup, create an encrypted backup, authenticate, then save or share the backup file.
Is my backup file secure?
Yes. Backup files are encrypted with your Master Passphrase.
Do I need to be online to back up or restore?
No. Backup and restore are local operations.

Can I share or print a note?
Yes. Use the share or print controls from view mode. Protected notes are shared only after you unlock them.
Can I edit a To-Do task?
Yes. Press and hold a task to edit its title or description.
